Caninsulin insulin injection is used as part of the treatment for diabetes mellitus for cats and dogs. It is important that your vet performs the appropriate blood tests first and tailors a treatment protocol which suits your individual pet.

• Dosage:
• Dogs: 0.5 IU/kg twice daily
• Cats: 1-2 IU/cat twice daily
• ✔️ Subcutaneous injectable usage only.
• ✔️ Store in a clean, cool and dark place (usually a refrigerator) and in an upright position.
• ❌ Do not freeze.
• ✔️ Shake before use until uniformly milky suspension is obtained.
• ✔️ Use Caninsulin® syringes as they are calibrated at 40 international units per ml.
• ❌ Human syringes (1 ml syringe or calibrated at 100 international units per ml) should not be used because they will not give the stated dose.
• ✔️ Use as directed by your veterinarian and consult the product packaging and data sheet for complete warnings and contraindications.
• ✔️ For animal treatment only. To be supplied only on veterinary prescription. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

• Caninsulin® is used to control diabetes mellitus that leads to higher than normal amounts of glucose, or sugar, in your pet’s blood. This condition occurs when your pet’s body makes too little or no insulin.
• Caninsulin® can be given once or twice daily as prescribed by your vet.
• Ensure your pet gets their insulin injections every time at the correct dose and time of the day.
• Provide consistent feeding and a consistent daily routine. Feed a prescription diet for diabetes.
• Keeping your pet slim makes control easier. Check their weight regularly.
• Attend regular check-ups with a vet to make sure that the diabetes is under control.
